The Problem
When looking at the RC department holistically, there are sub-groups within the organization that perform the following tasks: Primary and Secondary claims, Apply Patient Responsibility, Process and Send Invoices and Reconcile Zero Payments. Since these processes don’t run in parallel and have different sets of documentation and credentials, an organized plan and delivery model was needed to successfully design and deploy an automation suite.
The Approach
Innobot designed and developed 5 modules to automate the entire process using an agile delivery model focused on time to value. The modules coordinate and manage over 3000 clicks, 3 web-based applications, and organize 12+ spreadsheets into the Innobot platform. These modules function 24/7/365 mitigating the possibility of a backlog of claims and invoices. Additionally, the customer owns the back-end documentation, which can be updated by them whenever required. The modules are designed to dynamically account for these changes.
The Result
These modules unburden the human workers to a large extent and have cut runtimes of each process by 70%. Additionally, Innobot identified ways to streamline some of the customer’s processes by eliminating documentation and unnecessary reviews for their employees.
